People's Homeless Task Force Orange County

“The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little.”

SPECIFIC PURPOSE

The purpose of People's Homeless Task Force Orange County is to spark, create, and promote ideas and programs focused on dissolving and eliminating hunger and housing insecurity for people suffering from abject poverty while residing in Orange County, California.

HUNGER &
food share

People's Homeless Task Force Orange County "volunteers" are focused on helping the housing and food challenged community. We do this in a variety of ways.

- food share

- clothing drives

- advocating for services with their services providers

- advocating for justice with law enforcement

- connecting unhoused individuals with legal resources

EDUCATING the community

With very dedicated volunteers, People's Homeless Task Force OC continues to be a strong and supportive entity for the housing challenged and those suffering from abject poverty while living on the streets throughout Orange County.

This allows us to strongly advocate on their behalf with the County and throughout the 34 cities of Orange County regarding a variety of issues and injustices like the criminalization of the Homeless and the protection of their personal property including but not limited to their civil rights.

Our volunteers  continue to work directly and confidentially with members of the population we serve.

OUR STORY.

The People's Homeless Task Force OC is a 501(c3) non-profit comprised of all volunteers committed to helping the Homeless in Orange County.

Every day of the week, members are active, vigilant, and documenting the immediate needs (food, clothing, transportation, emergency pet care,  and access to social services, just to name a few) in our attempt to strengthen and preserve the health and safety and social fabric of the Homeless communities throughout the County. In addition, members regularly speak truth to power by giving public testimony at various City Council meetngs and Board of Supervisor meetings; including, meeting  face-to-face with United States Representatives, State Assemblymember, and the United Nations Rapporteur to share our true stories about the ongoing criminalization of people suffering from poverty, failed city and county services, and give detailed ideas and achievable projects that would help provide housing and dissolve Homelessness throughout Orange County.

There’s just one thing missing...you! Are you interested in volunteering with our organization, or are you looking for assistance yourself? Please contact us to learn more and or to become part of our volunteering community!
